clip_image002MSDN Events Presents:
Fundamentals of WPF & WPF in the Real World

Please join Microsoft and Paul Sheriff from PDSA, Inc. for these half-day sessions on Fundamentals of WPF and WPF in the Real World!

Fundamentals of WPF:
Learning Windows Presentation Foundation (WPF) can be a little daunting. This seminar will introduce the basic concepts and show you how to get started quickly and easily. This seminar will also explore the various ways to retrieve and present data. You will see examples of using combo boxes, list boxes, list views, etc. You will see how to use data triggers and how to add/edit/delete data as well.  If you are new to WPF, and an ASP.NET developer or Windows Forms developer, you need to attend this seminar to see how to effectively use WPF and XAML.

WPF in the Real World:
Windows Presentation Foundation and XAML are the future of desktop development. So, the question is, how would a developer using Windows Forms or ASP.NET move to this new development platform? This seminar will show you how to use WPF to develop a business application using toolbars, status bars, and all the normal functionality you are used to in Windows Forms. This seminar focuses on best practices that you need to know for business application development. If you are a business developer looking to move to WPF from Windows Forms, you need to attend this seminar.

*Please note: Registration for each session is separate. They are meant to be taken in order but registering for Fundamentals of WPF DOES NOT register you for WPF in the Real World.

If you would like to take both classes please register for both. Alternately, if you feel that you already have a firm grasp on  the fundamentals of WPF, you MAY register for WPF in the Real World only.
