Welcome to the Blog for the Enterprise Platforms Support Windows Server Performance team (what a mouthful!)  I guess one of the first things to tell you is what the Platforms Performance (or Plat-Perf as we’re commonly known) team does. 

Unlike the Networking or Directory Services support teams at Microsoft, whose support boundaries are fairly easy to work out, the Performance team covers a broad range of seemingly unrelated areas such as Core OS Performance, Printing, Internet Explorer, WMI and Terminal Services.  Simply put – we’re a bit of a “catch-all” team.

So why are we blogging?  Because we cover such a wide spectrum of technology, we see many different types of issues – some more frequently than others.  So we thought we should share with the broader technical community.  We’ll be sharing troubleshooting tips and technical information on areas of our specialty that we cover.  Hopefully the information we provide will help you both from a general OS Knowledge perspective as well as in troubleshooting any issues you run into …
