ARCHIVING OUTLOOK EMAIL USING TECHHIT "MESSAGESAVE"
Those of you interested in offline archival of email into storage other than .PSTs may be interested in this tool from TechHit for your personal use. It can archive, not just one message, but entire folders of email in your online inbox to a folder on your hard drive as .MSG files, which can be indexed and searched using Windows Live Desktop Search. Each .MSG file contains both the content, the formatting as well as attachments with 100% fidelity. Obviously you can save space by using NTFS compression on the folder.
Additionally, if you’d like to archive messages to file folders using Rules (in the same way some of you may move messages to a client-side .PST folder) you can do so using the Rules Wizard and a custom rule script.
