In just a few short weeks we will be announcing the official release of a new service called Microsoft Update that will not only patch Windows components, but selected Microsoft Products beginning with Office 2003 and Office XP, with additional Microsoft technologies to follow. Microsoft Update is built on the same core technology as Windows Update, and is an enhancement of Windows Update that today services nearly 200M PCs world wide.  Yes, that is right, one stop auto-updating for not only Windows, but Office, SQL, Exchange…  No more having to go to Windows Update, followed by Office Update followed by multiple downloads off our download center…  It will all just magically flow to your desktop when critical updates are available and you can now just visit one site to look for optional updates. 

Please go to http://update.microsoft.com/microsoftupdate, follow the prompts to access Microsoft Update, scan your machine for missing updates and install any available updates.
Turn Automatic Updates ON (from Start->My Computer-><right click>Properties->Automatic Updates tab – choose to download and install automatically at 3am.
